The hubby and I had planned an extended slow tour of Shenandoah National Park and decided to vary our normal motel stay with a B&B. Our choice was here and it couldn't have been a better choice. Donna welcomed us and made us feel at home. We arrived just before the bottom fell out of a rain storm. I was sitting in our attic room with the rain hitting the roof and felt so relaxed and, well, settled. The house is older, non-accessible but could easily be a home today. That's what it felt like, visiting a home as a welcome guest. The attic room was great! I only wish I had this at my home. They planned for the ultimate comfort space up there. Not only a sitting area but a wood-burning stove, the mini-fridge, the TV, the shower but a jacuzzi! It has 2 window unit ACs to cool but they weren't really needed the day we were there. Oh, breakfast? Coffee ready at 7:30, breakfast serving at 8:30 of juice, cut fruit, sausage, eggs, french toast and hash browns. Adding to the fresh baked cookies and cupcakes at arrival, I could have easily gained a few pounds there.
